Meet the Start

The start of the Dakar Rally will take place with the srutineering on January 3, the prologue on January 4 and the start of stage 1 on January 5. The Dakar goes over 15 days with 13 race days in stages and 1 rest day ending on January 17 with the price giving ceremony.

On this 5-Day Tour you will see the Dakar paddock, the prologue and the start of the Dakar as well as the amazing dunes on a 4x4 Adventure Tour.

Get a taste of Dakar air and meet the racers in the start camp, to watch the prologue and the start of the first stage on spectator points and drive a full day adventure in the dunes on the tracks of the racers.

Tour Offer and Program

The Ride Xpower Meet Dakar Visitor Tour round the start of the Dakar is offered as a 5-day trip in a 4x4. We'll see how the Dakar racers and mechanics teams are doing the scrutineering and last preparations for the prologue and the start of the Rally the day after. This short trip will give you an idea how hard is the Dakar Rallye, the visits in the paddock shows you the professionality of the teams preparing the vehicles for the 13 long and extreme race days. Every day we bring you on a half day into the dunes on a 4x4 adventure offroad tour.

Program of the 5-day Visitor Tour

Day 1 - January 2
Arrival in Saudi Arabia and airport pickup. Dinner in the old town and overnight in a hotel.

Day 2 - January 3
Explore the paddock of the Dakar Rally and return offroad to the hotel. Dinner together and overnight in a hotel.

Day 3 - January 4
Prologue of the Dakar. We will catch up the racers at the start and on spectator points and return offroad to the hotel. Dinner together and overnight in a hotel.

Day 4 - January 5
Stage 1 of the Dakar. Watch the racers at the start and return offroad to the hotel. Dinner together and overnight in a hotel. The rally has left and we have the town for us.

Day 5 - January 6
Airport transfer and Departure.

Difficulty Level of the 4x4 Offroad Drive

On our way back from the paddock, the prologue and the start of stage 1 we will drive offroad. The difficulty level of the tour is moderate and will be accommodated to the riding and driving level of the group. You will get an introduction to riding on sand and in the desert. There are some challenges ahead for those who know how to drive a 4x4 on the sand and for those who want to try it with our guides.

4x4 Rental

On this trip a shared rental 4x4 is included.

Travel

The airport for arrival and departure is defined by the location of the start area of the Dakar Rally which will be announced in spring 2025 by the Dakar Organization. We pick you up at the airport on arrival and shuttle you on departure.
