Meet the Final

The final stages of the Dakar Rally will take place on January 15, 16 and 17 ending with the price giving ceremony in the evening of the final stage on January 17th.

This 5-day tour is something very special, it takes us to the Empty Quarter and the so-called Sea of ​​Dunes. This uninhabited area is certainly one of, if not the, most beautiful parts of Saudi Arabia. The rally stays here for 3 stages, one of the highlights is a mass start on the last stage. This promises incredible excitement.

On this 5-Day Tour you will see the rally on the final and penultimate stage on January 16 and 17 at the start, on spectator points, the final and the amazing award ceremony in the evening. On January 16 we will visit the paddock and attend the briefing for the final stage. This all on a 4x4 Adventure Tour into the dunes in the stunning landscape of Saudi Arabia.

You spend all nights in desert camps near the stage starts and spectator points. Pure Dakar feeling. There are no hotels in the Empty Quarter.

Tour Offer and Program

The Ride Xpower Meet Dakar Visitor Tour round the final of the Dakar is offered as a 5-day trip in a self driven 4x4. We will see the racers on the final two stages and the mechanic teams in the paddock preparing the vehicles for the final stage of the rally. In the evenings you will attend the briefing and the awards ceremony.

This trip will give you an idea how hard is the Dakar Rallye, the visits in the paddock shows you the professionality of the teams preparing the vehicles for the 15 long and extreme race days. Every day we bring you into the dunes on a 4x4 adventure offroad tour.

Program of the 4-day Visitor Tour

Day 1 - January 14
Arrival in Saudi Arabia in Al Hofuf and airport pickup. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.

Day 2 - January 15
Take over of the 4x4 vehicles and drive into the Empty Quarter and catch up the racers at the on a spectator point or at the finish (if the route of the Dakar let us to meet them). We drive partially offroad. Overnight in a desert camp and dinner together.

Day 3 - January 16

Watch the start of the penultimate stage of the Rally Dakar and at a spectator point on a 4x4 offroad tour. In the evening we visit the paddock and participate in the briefing for the final stage. Overnight in a desert camp and dinner together.

Day 4 - January 17
Last stage of the Dakar. We will watch the racers at the start, at a spectator point and at the final. In the evening we take part in the awards ceremony. Overnight in a desert camp and dinner together.

Day 5 - January 18
Drive in our 4x4 vehicles out of the Empty Quarter to the Al Hofuf Airport and Departure.

Difficulty Level of the 4x4 Offroad Drive

On our way to and from the race track we will drive offroad. The difficulty level of the tour is moderate and will be accommodated to the riding and driving level of the group. You will get an introduction to riding on sand and in the desert. There are some challenges ahead for those who know how to drive a 4x4 on the sand and for those who want to try it with our guides.

Accommodation

We will stay the first night in a hotel in Al Hofuf. The rest of the trip we stay in desert camps where we have breakfast and dinner together cooked by our own chiefs. For lunch we take snacks from the breakfast with us. Water for the day will be provided. In the desert camps each participant will receive his own tent.

4x4 Rental

On this trip a shared rental 4x4 is included. Max. 4 persons in a car the participants drive by themselves.

Travel

The airport for arrival and departure is Al Hofuf. We pick you up at the airport on arrival and departure.
